You booked your session. The date is on the calendar. The excitement is building.
Now what?
One of the questions we hear most often from seniors and moms is, “How do I prepare for my senior pictures?”
The good news is that you don’t need to know how to model, pose, or be comfortable in front of a camera. That’s our job. But there are a few simple things you can do before your session that will help you feel confident, relaxed, and ready for an amazing experience.

The number one thing that causes stress before a session is waiting until the last minute to choose outfits.
A few weeks before your session, start pulling together looks that feel like you. Think about the clothes you reach for when you want to feel confident. The goal is not to dress like someone else. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself.
We recommend bringing a variety of styles and colors. A casual outfit, something dressy, and a look that reflects your personality or interests can give your gallery incredible variety.
For moms, this is also a great time to make sure everything fits properly, is wrinkle free, and any new items have been tried on ahead of time.
The more prepared you feel walking into your session, the more relaxed you’ll be once we start shooting.

You don’t need a complete makeover before senior pictures, but a little self care goes a long way.
Schedule hair appointments at least a week or two before your session. This gives your haircut or color time to settle naturally. If you get your nails done, choose a color you’ll still love when you look back at these photos years from now.
Most importantly, drink plenty of water and get some sleep.
We know that sounds simple, but hydration and rest make a huge difference. Healthy skin, bright eyes, and genuine confidence all start with taking care of yourself.
And please don’t try any dramatic new haircuts, hair colors, or skincare treatments right before your session.
Trust us on that one.

This is the big one.
Most seniors arrive at their session convinced they are awkward in photos.
They tell us:
“I don’t know how to pose.”
“I’m nervous.”
“I’ve never done this before.”
“I don’t photograph well.”
The truth is that almost every senior feels that way when they arrive.
You do not need experience.
You do not need to know your angles.
You do not need to practice poses in the mirror.
We will guide you every step of the way. From where to put your hands to how to stand, walk, laugh, and interact naturally, we’ll show you exactly what to do.
Our job is to create an experience where you can relax, have fun, and simply be yourself.
By the end of the session, most seniors are shocked by how easy it was and how much fun they had.

Senior year goes by fast.
These photos aren’t about perfection. They’re about capturing who you are right now during one of the most exciting seasons of your life.
Come prepared. Get some rest. Trust the process.
We’ll take care of the rest.
